My Hope for TVBC
My Hope for TVBC is that we would be a people who appreciates the power of corporate prayer as the foundation of God’s work; a people who reaches outside to evangelize and share the Truth of the Gospel; and a people who values ministering to and disciplining others.
I was saved at age 9 at First Baptist Church Rogers, Tx. and remained active there until age 19, serving as a youth leader, pre-teen camp sponsor, and administrative assistant to the pastor.
Over the next few years I would marry, have two children, move away and move back to Rogers returning to my home church. My husband was agnostic and over time I stopped attending church as well. After 25 years, our marriage ended in divorce. I would start over at age 49. As God picked up the pieces, I would better understand the Children of Israel. I gave Jesus my heart at age 9, but spent 40 years in the wilderness, before I would give Him every area of my life.
Career wise, I worked 36 years in the Information Systems Department of a local multi-specialty medical center, beginning as Secretary to the Director. Through the years I would change positions becoming an Office Manager, a programmer, a Department Manager and ultimately a Director overseeing the electronic medical record and other clinical applications.
God not only blessed my career, he gave me a new family. Today I have a husband who loves the Lord, my two birth children, and two God-given sons and four precious grandchildren. I have been blessed to be a member of Taylor’s Valley since 2010 and enjoy serving and worshiping here. One of my greatest blessings was serving as Chairman of the Pastor Search Committee and seeing God work during that time. I have been equally blessed to be a part of the office team since May 2015.
