OUR MINISTRIES

We seek to develop and grow disciples of Jesus Christ through the various ministries here at Taylor's Valley.  We will be happy to help you find a place where you can grow up in the grace and knowledge of God.  Or perhaps you are ready to serve...we can help you find a place to share His love with others.
Prayer

Much is accomplished by God's people seeking Him through prayer and interceding on behalf of others.  Taylor's Valley has a dedicated prayer room just off our Fellowship Hall and recently we have added a "Virtual Prayer Room" to our website.  Please see the link on our home page, or visit the "Prayer" page under the "Connect" menu.  Please contact Marilyn Hoeth to be added to the rotating prayer warrior list.  Prayer needs are available through the church office.
Women's Ministry

Connecting Women.  Transforming Lives.

Women of the church meet regularly to encourage and equip one another through Bible study, fellowship and service.  Visit our Facebook page to see all the current events.
Divorce Care

A free support group, with in-class video sessions and group discussions.  There is an optional workbook ($15) for at-home study.  The program deals with anger, depression, loneliness, finances, children and forgiveness.  For more information or to sign up:  call the church office (254-939-0503) or e-mail divorcecare.tvbc@gmail.com or just come attend a class.  Sunday nights at 6pm (Room 401).

Homebound

At TVBC, we want all our members to know they are important, even if they are unable to attend church on a regular basis.  Our Homebound Ministry seeks to minister to those who no longer are able to attend church services.  We have a great group of people who visit, contact and minister to our homebound members on a regular basis.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Derrel Thompson, Minister of Music and Pastoral Care.
Friendly Neighborhood

As the city of Temple comes closer and closer to our church campus, we want to extend a friendly welcome to those who are moving in all around us.  This team seeks out homes that have newcomers, and delivers an attractive welcome bag of small gifts.  This team also helps greet visitors on Sunday mornings at our Welcome Center in the foyer.  We are encouraging all our members to be proactive in inviting new neighbors, regardless of where they live, and take a welcome bag to people new to our community.  For more information, please contact Derrel Thompson.
Music

We seek to glorify God through all of our music.  Please contact our music minister, Derrel Thompson, to find out more about how you can use your musical talents in leading others to worship.

Greeters & Ushers

Are you a people person? Love meeting new people? This is a great way to get plugged in and meet new people and show them how to get involved.
Greeters serve once or twice a month, at one of our entrances, welcoming our members and guests as they arrive and directing guests to the proper location(s).
Ushers serve on a rotating schedule, helping collect our offering and serving when we have Communion.
If you are interested in either of these ministries, please email or call the church office at 254-939-0503..

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry provides food to those in need. In cooperation with Capitol Food Bank and TVBC member donations, we maintain the food pantry, operating the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.

If you are in need of food, please observe the following schedule:

Last names beginning with the letters "A through M", are served on the 2nd Wednesday.
Last names beginning with the letters "N through Z", are served on the 4th Wednesday.

We begin serving at 9am on those mornings and serve until 11am.

Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry at TVBC is renewing its focus presently.  Please see our calendar for meeting dates and come be a part of revitalizing this ministry.
Kids

One of the most vibrant areas of TVBC is our ministry to children, headed up by our director, Beth Harris.  Children experience caring teachers who shower them with love, building positive relationships while teaching them the truths of God's Word.  To see all the things our kids ministry involoves, watch our short video here.
